These were the best things to happen to dvd's since the dvd player! It is a shame that such a fantastic product has been discontinued! I got lucky on an auction website and found 2, but I ended up paying double what you guys charge. It was worth it. Truly a great product.

Love this product... I only bought one because I didn't think I would turn into such a huge movie buff. Please bring this back... Easily stackable, great idea with the extra portable case, and not to mention a tasteful mid-century modern chic. Can't say how much I love it. Twenty thousand times? Would that be enough love for a relaunch?

We really like the studio100. It has prevented our 2 yr old from destroying our DVDs and it saves space as I can hide all of our DVD away from the 2yr old so they are safe and sound. The only downfall is that I found it hard to paste the DVD list to the inside lid of the Studio100.

Comments:
I have over 700 DVDs in my collection. I needed a space-saving, stackable solution to keep everything organized. I tried the Selector 100. Great product, but bulky, and not stackable. Same with the 100 Auto and Browser 100, not stackable, the top raises to reveal the discs, preventing you from stacking anything on top. Studio100 to the rescue! I can get 100 discs in a 9" x 6.25" x 5.5" space and I stack the Studio 100s four units high. (Discgear only recommends stacking 3 high.) The system has two discs in a numbered sleeve that pivots out of the unit for removal of discs. The sleeves can also be removed and placed into a holder called a satellite for taking your collection on the road. When you're back home, just replace the sleeves into their proper numbered locations and your Studio100 stays organized. I have eight Studio 100s now and I am transferring my excel spreadsheet to the Discgear free software. It's searchable database allows you to add discs anywhere into the online "virtual" Studio100, or in my case, any of the eight studio 100s I own, and keep track of it's position. It does all the alphabetizing and sorting for you so you can just add discs as you acquire them. You can even print out the lists in a format to fit into your Studio100. With it being online, you can access your collection info from anywhere you have an internet conection. No more wondering if you have a copy that CD of DVD already, just get on the net and find out. Cons: If I had to list a drawback, it would be the legs. The studio100 sits on small pencil thin legs which takes away from their sturdiness when stacked. It dosen't really bother me, but I keep my Studio 100s in a closet on a shelf, if they were out in a room with excited children or pets...they could sway and tip over...eww. This has not been a problem for me, but if the folks at Discgear come up with a more stable stacking solution this product will be perfect! As for the online software, a great addition would be a connection…

Comments:
I cannot believe they discontinued their best product! It is the most efficient of all the designs and the easiest indexing to use. It is also stackable and stylish. I have several selectors and through mishandling by others all my dvds have been dumped out several times. Also when the lid is closed on dvds that were not in properly, the edges got damaged. This system is more compact and fool proof. Please, please, please go back to the studio100!
