I received two 80S for my birthday and I like the purple and green colors. It is easy to use and organize my movies, CDs, and games. I wish they were stackable to make it more convenient on a shelf. I have a 50 disc selector and I thought all the products came with a automatic disc release like the one I have. The 80S does not have that feature so sometimes it ends up slamming shut.

It looks fragile, but it's well designed: I've dropped it twice now, full, with no functional damage (not recommended). Considering just how simple and effective it is, I'd have to say it's a great value for the money! I purchased 5 units.

Just received as a gift. I agree it could use a lock, but I made my own using self stick velcro. Works like a charm. Just put the two pieces where you want them to lock, and no problem

I have two of these which I use for movies. One is exclusively for Kid/Family movies. I love it because my 6-yr-old son is able to browse the list of available movies and easily pick what he wants. Obviously, having 80 movies in such a small unit saves a lot of space. To those who have found the labeling process online so tedious and time-consuming--which I completely agree with--I simply created my own list in Excel. Just take the label provided with the Selector 80s and use it to measure how much space you can use. It took me an hour with some trial & error to get my label exactly the way I wanted it, and now all I have to do when adding movies is to put the new movies on my master list, sort alphabetically, then cut and paste 20 titles at a time to the label sheet, which only takes a couple of minutes. Of course, then you have to shuffle the DVD's, but it's worth it in the long run. I have added a "genre" column for my master list so that I can easily sort by genre which makes it easy to put different categories into different Selector 80s. An improvement would be to make these stackable, however I keep ours on a bookshelf which works fine for us.

awesome way to store the mountains of DVDs without making your living room look like a barracks room. Silly me I thought 4 would be enough. I have a master list printed out and each of the storage units are labeled with a good old sharpie marker for identification. The size of the units is perfect to tuck away under the lift top portion of my cocktail table and still be able to access easily. My children know that they can read the menu and easily find a movie they want to watch..and then put it away where it belongs.

I have (5) 80S units and (1) old 100 unit with the flip up top, with (2) more 80s units on the way. The 80s units are a good value for what you get. I label mine with a large sticker, which I cover over completely with a piece of clear, wide box-packing tape. The tape sticks to the plastic, whereas, the stickers will lose grip constantly. To keep the draw from constantly sliding open while being moved, I place a small piece of scotch tape across the draw edge and body of the unit and peel it back for access. You can also make two circles of tape, sticky side out, and place them between each side top cover where it closes and meets the body of the unit. You then need a little tug to open it, but the 80s stay closed better when you're handling them.Lastly, I've noticed that the software issue people mention only occurs for me when I use a browser other than Internet Explorer. I usually use Google Chrome and the pdf box with the completed list, ready for printing, will just not come up. For all who have issues--try it under Explorer and it should work, at least from my experience.Overall, I like these units and they're great space-savers and organizers. Just be careful not to break the selector tab by smacking it against something. [...] I do wish the 80s would lock, though; otherwise, they're a great product.

Comments:
Because of the round top, the units are not stackable. No software comes with it. You can use their online web-based software after an intrusive registration process. (What are they afraid of? Someone might steal their software? It's of little use without their hardware!) Besides, I don't happen to care to tell them what disks I own. It's nobody's business but mine. Apparently a downloadable software is avaialable but it may not work with 64 bit Windows. Seems like there is room for a LOT of improvement! I bought this mistake myself. Next time I'll shop around more.

I have a total of 8) Select 80's and soon to be 9). Could not be better for storing CD/DVD. Makes it real nice to be able to add to and delete as needed. And the indexing is supper. Get everything organized the way you want them just print out index sheet for the bottom of the storage. Plus you can go to the library tab and print out a Master copy.

This is amazing..I had purchased 2 of the DiscSelect 80s from QVC in 2008 and hadn't done anything with them...I just recently used them and ordered 2 of the Selector 100's...I just ordered 2 more of the Selector 100's...I like it much better than the DiscSelect 80...Very easy to use..quick to get organized, and I can't believe I waited this long.
