Comments:

I bought two of these units. I use one for my Playstation/PS2 games and the other for my Xbox and Wii games. I have heard people say that it is hard to organize, but I found it very user-friendly and easy to set up. The discs just roll in and when you need them they come right out. Now the DO suggest that you number your discs with a permanent marker, but, no thank you. The only real difficulty that I had was after I printed out my custom label, I went to get a game out of it from the label and it was the wrong one. I was angry until I realized that I had failed to enter a disc into the list, but all else was smooth. As I conned, when I go to print the titlesheets from the website they print too big to fit into the unit, which could be a fault of mine or a formatting issue with the printer, but I got around that by making a spreadsheet that prints the titlesheet out and fits perfectly. I DO have another con...Where am I supposed to put all the empty game cases that I no longer need? ;)

I have wanted one of these for so long and I finally got it. I ordered on Monday and received it on Thursday, super fast! It is perfect! I keep it on shelf and usually put it on the carpet to open and it works perfect. I love this. The shelf looks so organized and is no longer an eye sore!

These products are great. In my family we have 4 and we gave 1 as a Christmas gift to a close friend. They are functional and great for storing discs. The one we have in our living room saved us TONs of space and looks great. Everyone that comes over asks us what it is and where they can get for themselves. LOVE LOVE LOVE these and I am hoping for new colors and designs to come out soon. I am looking forward to the future of discgear!

Geat storage solution! But having to create a user profile and log into some online data base to print index files is UNACCEPTABLE! DiscGear SHOULD provide an offline / private index printing solution.

Comments:

It saves space; it's easy to use; even my wife loves it. She (my wife) has a tendency to break CD cases, and pull CD's out of their cases before puting away the one that's in the player. At the end of the day, CD's were all over the place. With this unit, she takes one out of the player, puts it away, and quickly finds the next one. No more mess or confusion. Highly recommended for CD's OR DVD's.

Comments:

After market jewell cases are more often junk than not. Place a jewell case up in the air and even with your eyeline, hold it flat, look at it against a white background, in a Large percentage of jewell cases you will find the disc is tilted up one way or the other. This is a future warped disc. It is because they are not manufactured with long term storage or care in mind. DVD cases present similar problems. Sometimes you have to pry the disc out of some dvd cases! Disc gear products were a dream come true for this HD-DVD, BLU-RAY, DVD, AND CD COLLECTOR! I only wish they made a Laserdisc disc gear storage system! Disc gears protect discs from dust, immediately line the disc up for the edge type grasp, and store the discs under near zero stress! The only negative aspect is the super close disc to disc line up. If you take a disc out by hand, you must be careful not to rub discs together. I have solved that problem. I place 25 discs in a 50 disc gear, and 50 in a 100 disc gear. It still allows for an awful lot of storage, and hard to find collector discs stay in A-1 shape. I have mirror like discs that have no scratches or prints since the format dvd was released! You space them in every other slot, for those that haven't already figured that out! In my experience, I have found that the 50 disc gears are generally the smoothest built machines, with the standard 100 disc gears running a close second. I have frequently noticed alignment problems with other variations of the disc gear designs. Poor machine alignment can press the discs against others, or against the plastic of the storage product. I have never noticed such problems in the round 100s or 50s. I use nothing else, in fact, I was thinking about doing a home theater newsletter, and this was one home theater product I was going to rave about! One last thing! I would like disc gear to incorporate this technology into home theater, dust free cabinets! I would like to see the precision of the 50s and 100s built…
