I bought this because I was running out of space for shelves holding my CD's and DVD's. WOW, What a differance this product has made!I couldn't believe the HUGE pile of plastic CD cases I had on the floor after getting all the CD's put in the selector. It was a real pleasure throwing those away!I can not wait to buy another to store more.I love this product. Some times the tray is a little hard to pull out, but not a problem so far.

Comments:

I was given the selector 100 as a Christmas gift and thought it was cool. It is. After seeing all your discs evenly lined up with order definitely satisfies you. But, after you make a selection and choose to remove a disc, you realize that although the disc releases easy, it is difficult to take it out without rubbing it next to the discs beside it. Either the discs need to be further seperated from one another or the lid needs to open further to clear the possibility of scratching. If you watch the video demo for the unit you will see that they quickly cut away from showing you the disc as it is actually removed. Could be a great device. I choose to seperate my discs by every other 4th one to avoid the problem.

I have 18 Selector 100's. I am a movie collector and have my whole collection cataloged on my PC and iPhone. I number the movies so that number 4085 tells me the movie is in box 4 slot 85. These are the easiest I have found for storage and retrieval of such a large collection of dvd's. A bonus is that they slide right into the storage slots of by entertainment center but I will have to find additional space when I get box 21!!!!

This is such a great way to set up all your DVD's. Makes everything tidy and easy to access...looks great too. I have 3 of them, 2 are the 120's and then I have this one, the 100. More people see these on my bookshelf and ask what it is. They love to sit and look thru the catalog book to see what movies I have. No one would ever know that I have over 300 DVD's. You can't tell when everything is organized in this product. I just love them.

Love it and love the idea. How many times in my lifetime I have said Clean up this mess! CD's everywhere. I bought 6 so far and just ordered 2 more. I already have one small one for the Wii one small one for my computer desk. One 120 for a gift, one 100, my first one, and 2 120 just for my DVD's, I have all of mine full so must order more. I need the literature albuns that is one of the most important parts of this system.

Comments:

I bought this device to store my xbox 360 and PS3 games in safely without scratching the disks. This device neatly stores up to 100 cds. games. or even BLU-RAY disks safely. So im very happy that all my PS3 games and Blu-Rays are safe and scratch free due to the product being Blu-ray approved! The whole system is built very well and sturdy. The faux leather looks and feels great. All you have to do with this system is use the free online software to type in the name of the cds onto the numerized index sheet and then slip that cd into the numbered slot. This sheet is then printable off the website where you slip it into your index holder. Its just that simple and easy... To retrive the disk you want later, all you have to do is press the button to slide out the index draw, find the number of the cd that you want, slide the lever to that number and then push the open button and the cd you want is automatically there when the door opens automatically! The only problem that I have is that sometimes the index draw sticks or opens very slowly but otherwise this system is flawless. I love this thing so much that I might even buy a second.. no more mess of 100 jewel cases!

I got two of these from my husband and they are GREAT for organizing all of our DVDs in a small space. It's nice to have everything alphabetized and the cohesive look of the cases make my living room look tidier. However, I was disappointed to have the slide out tray break within the first 9 months of owning it. Also, many entertainment centers and shelves are not the right size to fit these. Either they are too wide to slide on the shelf at all or they can't open properly on a shelf. Just something to keep in mind when purchasing them.

Comments:

I have (5) 80S units and (1) old 100 unit with the flip up top, with (2) more 80s units on the way. The 80s units are a good value for what you get. I label mine with a large sticker, which I cover over completely with a piece of clear, wide box-packing tape. The tape sticks to the plastic, whereas, the stickers will lose grip constantly. To keep the draw from constantly sliding open while being moved, I place a small piece of scotch tape across the draw edge and body of the unit and peel it back for access. You can also make two circles of tape, sticky side out, and place them between each side top cover where it closes and meets the body of the unit. You then need a little tug to open it, but the 80s stay closed better when you're handling them.Lastly, I've noticed that the software issue people mention only occurs for me when I use a browser other than Internet Explorer. I usually use Google Chrome and the pdf box with the completed list, ready for printing, will just not come up. For all who have issues--try it under Explorer and it should work, at least from my experience.Overall, I like these units and they're great space-savers and organizers. Just be careful not to break the selector tab by smacking it against something. [...] I do wish the 80s would lock, though; otherwise, they're a great product.

Comments:

This is simply the best video/audio storage system on the market.I probably use this product in an unusual way, in that I do not fill them with the full amount they will hold. For example, I load the 50 selectors with about 25 dvds, blu- rays, or cds. This way, as a serious collector, I limit rubbing of the discs, and I almost never use the selector arm, as the space I leave allows me to take them out by hand. I have dvds purchased when the format first hit the market that are void of scratches or finger prints. Using the storage system my way, provides for long optical life of your discs. Of course the product can be used as intended without a problem, but as a collector, I made it a better product simply by engaging my storage method. I do not have a con about the product, other than I wish it was available in more stores so I did not always have to purchase them on-line or through phone orders.

The 120 DiscGear is a wonderful product. I was wondering when you'll bring it back to QVC? The 100 DiscGear looks a little cheap and a cover for the DVD cover book is no longer there. I love to have all my DVD's in alphabetical order,so I would like the cover book to have pages that could move around. That way I don't have to rotate all the covers down a page...it takes a long time.
