This is the easiest and classiest storage unit that Discgear has ever manufactured. Unlike their other storage units, you do not have to worry with title sheets or indexing. All you have to do is browse your discs! This is great for movies because you can instantly recognize which disc you want. So easy to setup and use!!!

Comments:

Bought this for the kids movies so that they would not have to keep them in a specific order. Dissapointed that movies stick together. The design looks like it would work but in reality the sleeves are placed to close together causing the movies to clump together.

Superb quality finish. Loads easily after a little practice. It just requires good light to see the clear plastic film outline. The first problem is in selecting a particular disc. The mechanism drops 2 or 3 discs at once and you have to re-lift them manually in order to read the labels. With practice it is possible to get the disc to drop about 5mm and then push it down manually. The frame of the front disc holder snags on the disc in the following holder. The second problem is with MY discs. They are non-commercial and I created labels that contain the important detail at the bottom of the disc. The lower half of the disc is hidden! All MY discs have to be relabeled or inserted upside down in order to read the show titles! Naturally all new discs will have the title written at the top of the disc. In summary the feel of the device is Rolls Royce and it requires a little practice to get the best performance.

The stacks of CDS are now neatly filed away in this elegant black box. The design is fantastic. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think the slide mechanism needs to be tweeked just a bit so that when you slide the button to browse the CDs you don't skip a CD or have more than one CD drop as you slide it across. Otherwise, it is a very well made storage device.

I have several other Discgear products and decided to add this unit based on previous experience. Not only is it the best looking (I think) of all my units, but it is the best made as well. The "browser" design and operation is attractive and simple; distinctly different from other Discgear products in that you can see each disc as you browse through them instead of relying on a slide out list that must be updated as you add discs. All in all a great product which is well made and attractive and would make an excellent addition to a serious music or video library.

This is the perfect solution to anyone who is lazy and doesn't want to take time to catalog discs. Its awesome for DVDs and CDs because they come with unique graphics on the cover. This makes them easy to recognize as you "browse" through your discs. Watch the video. It is a little dark, but it is the best way to show you how this thing works. I love it!

Comments:

I bought this because I have too many DVDs around my TV room and wanted a very simple solution. The Browser system is amazingly simple to set up and use. It only took me about 5 minutes to set up and takes only a few SECONDS to find a particular disc. My kids actually love using it and therefore our DVDs are kept safe and organized.
